Family programme (since 1995) came into existence in order to support foster parental care as an alternative for abandoned children to be accepted in an open family. Our intention is to provide a family environment for children, who would otherwise have to grow up in children´s homes. The goal is to avert the constitutional syndrome, to give children the opportunity to get acquainted with the roles of mothers and fathers, to grow in them the sense of responsibility for their own lives, to teach them to manage their money and prepare them to cope with their private and family lives. Their integration into society is helped by public-open facilities for children and the youth where they can meet children from the neighbourhood.
A recent activity within this programme is a maternity centre. The target group is mothers on maternity leave who in this gorgeous stage of life often go through feelings of loneliness and exclusion from society, as well as from their children. A proper activity of the maternity centre has been in the course of time expanded to some further activities of mothers, children and fathers.
This programme indirectly follows an integrating programme in excluded areas, whose part is streetwork in households of endangered people, especially in social housings, in urban dorms and low-category flats without equipment for rent-owing residents.
Parts of the programme are:

• field work, street services and programmes (help with getting flats) and socially activating services for families with children;
• ambulatory social services: maternity centre;
• accommodation facilities for fostering family;
• food aid;
• religious and pastoral care;
• courses for mothers, children and the public: computer courses, language courses;
• programme for families: manual activities, art group;
• complementary activities of the maternity centre: swimming, table tennis;
• public education activity: psychological counselling.
